Founder & Coach

My name is Karem Mieses, and I have been a Productivity Expert for corporations for more than two decades. Nonetheless, my passion has always been DANCE! 


Yes, I have turned companies around from bankruptcy to profit and have been able to start up and sell for profit multiple businesses. But my biggest accomplishment has been to help pro-athletes to fall back in love with their sports.


This passion made me focus on fitness back in 2012 when I had to work very hard on my mindset to raise 3 boys (back then ages 3, 15 months, and a newborn). 


Back then I had acute post-partum depression & over 50 pounds overweight, rediscovering dance saved me. In the effort to heal my body, I began a journey within to heal my mindset.


A year later, I amass the tools to not only strengthen my mindset and love my body but I created a system that was helping me help others do the same. In 2014, I got certified as a personal trainer under ACE and as a Strategic Life Coach under CTAA. Also, became part of the P90X pro team which allowed me to help athletes and dancers bring their performance levels to higher grounds.


It was at that point that this thought hit me “WOW, If I would only have had this mental toughness when I was a teenager dancing…” Looking at my P90X Master Coach during a train the trainer session, I told him “If I have had someone like you when I was dancing, how different my life would/ve been…”


To which he said, “maybe that’s why you are here now, have you thought about that” … The precursor of Dancer Mindset (FitFunThrive) was born at the end of 2014 to help regular people become athletes. 


Needless to say, it was not until I started teaching dance again in 2016 and helping my sister with her dance studio that I embrace my role as a Mindset Coach. Just Dancers! 


Then, in 2021 as I got closely involved with the coaching and preparation of dancers for the Universal Ballet Competition that a burning desire sparked to help young dancers improve their performance by building their confidence.


And DancerMindset was born to partner with parents in assisting their young and evolving dancers to minimize negative experiences, lessen the impact of failures, and develop confidence by empowering the MINDSET.

What does Dancer Mindset Coaching for Peak Performance include?

Our programs are customized to your dancer’s needs. A mental clarity assessment and a sports assessment will be administered in the first session to outline the specific plan.

    Tap into the enormous power that is you by removing the mental clutter and limiting thoughts that have held you back from playing bigger in your life.

    Start training your thoughts to get what you want and deserve using self-hypnosis, visualization, mindfulness, breath work, and more. 

     

  • Step 3: Create A System -

    Create the processes and routines to make lasting change and create flow. We'll set you up for success with daily and weekly mindset exercises.


BODY: To assure that we are integrating the body and mind to help your dancer’s goal, some of the areas that can be incorporated into your dancers’ performance mindset training are the following:

  • Build a stronger body frame to endure the intensity of dance & move better.

  • Work on your anaerobic fitness to enhance the power, clarity, and agility in your movement.

  • Work on your aerobic fitness to enable you to last longer in dance class or routines.

  • Work on your weight in order to be fitter and lighter for dance – or simply to look and feel good when you dance.

  • Work on your alignment and flexibility for a better range of motion, especially in more demanding and technical movements.

  • Rehabilitation & strengthening from current/old injuries including building the right muscles to support your weak points.

  • Specific design training for certain aspects of dance such as jumps, turns, power in kicks, upper body strength for floor routines, lower body strength, and core for posture, and strength.
